DeleteA Limey she sure did throw Jordan under the bus when Jordan has done nothing but try and get her to tell the truth , it was her own guilt that told Jordan in the first place , and as a dr she could have done dna anytime especially when Trina was a baby and compared her to taggart and she would have known but nope , Curtis had better not come sideways at Jordan he better hear her side first , not that she even owes him any explanation and technically she didn’t tell aunt Stella she knew Jordan wasn’t being truthful and with Jordan’s tidbits she figured it out herself, the only person Portia has to blame us Portia , and ew can’t wait till tomorrow cuz gangsta Ava will be released you could see it all over her face , Ryan took so much from her I hope she’s the one who finally takes him out , aww Spencer and Trina so cute , loved there scenes today love this side of him , hope the good doc makes it , also I don’t think Heather is the og hook killer , at least I’m not totally convinced guess we’ll have to wait and see , good episode today finally !
ReplyDeleteYeah, if Curtis is on his way to see Jordan it needs to be with a big old apology, but it won't be, he'll be mad at her for no good reason, it's only Portia to blame for this mess! And yes, Spencer and Trina are so cute!!! Portia and Trina are just such lovely actresses, it's too much!!!

Speaking of which, Portia-Curtis-Trina-Taggert, nothing good came of this big lie, and I just wish they hadn't followed the uncertainty angle, for a doctor like Portia it just makes no sense. :( Still liking these episodes though, can't wait for a Wyndemere showdown!

ReplyDeleteI don't remember exactly what Jordan kept from Curtis when they were married. I thought it had to do with Cyrus Renault and the UC investigation she & Taggart did. I remember empathizing with her. When your job requires you to keep secrets, you can't tell anyone... especially your PI husband, whose investigations may be informed by this info. She can't tell, and it's not a product of love for her husband. He was being a little double-standardey as he also keeps secrets and unreasonable.
ReplyDeletePortia's secrets though, I have no empathy for. I mean i get it got harder over the years but that's her own fault. Keeping the identity of the father who is in the child's life through the two years of seeing the father and engagement, all on her. Pretty bad.
You're right! I think the final straw for Curtis was when Jordan lied about Taggart's death (they fake-killed him to protect his family from Cyrus). I remember it being really unreasonable. All her "lies" were to protect the integrity of investigations or people involved in them. It really was just her job. Unless I'm remembering it wrong. Maybe it was when they (the group of 4 people investigating Cyrus) kind of fudged some evidence to get Cyrus convicted (he was killing those investigators off one by one as revenge). So maybe it was an ethics issue (though I don't think Jordan knew what the other members of her group were doing at the time, she was UC) and that was the final wedge. But it did make me think less of Curtis at the time. She's a professional in law enforcement, let her do her job. It was too much for him to handle, so he left. To me, Jordan just needs to find someone who can understand her responsibilities anyways.
DeleteAnd yes, Portia is a whole different ball game. Infinitely worse lie, in my eyes. With no professional justification. Heck, Curtis's club being a front for mob activity is worse than Jordan's lies, IMO. Jordan hasn't been treated fairly through all this. The only reason she knew Portia's secret was because of Portia. Jordan's lying in a gassed basement going through kidney failure and Portia's letting it all out. That's not on Jordan, lol.
Good memory there. And very good point. I didn't even think about how Curtis is lying about his club being a front for mob activity. That is a pretty big & nasty secret. Very double standard.

Oh yeah, I hated that storyline! They were beating up TJ (one of my faves), Jordan totally went off on Molly (another of my faves), which drove her into the arms of Brando (another one of my faves), for that completely out of character affair. Both Molly and Brando betrayed TJ, and then lied to him for forever about it. I didn't like any part of that. :( So happy that didn't end their relationship.

Ryan's way of thinking is twisted and funny sometimes, ha! I love to see the actor switching between Ryan and Kevin, what a dramatic switch he's doing all the time. It's not easy having an evil twin, LOL. And all three--Curtis, Portia, and Jordan--need to move on with other people, for all their sakes. None of them are good together.
