LMAO... I really just can't stand anything about Nina. Love how she compliments "her" hotel when she's owned it for like 2 days and hasn't done much of anything but continuously remind everyone that half the hotel is hers. And even at a friend's wedding, while with her daughter is fighting for her life, and her best friend is going through a hellish divorce... all Nina can think about is Carly... it's insane, LOL.
ReplyDeleteIs it me, or is the writing for Sam the most laziest on this show? We had to hear her say, "what if she knows more about Maggie Fitzgerald than she's letting on?" a ridiculous amount of times between yesterday and today. Yeah, duh. And the lady needing to come inside her room just to ask her if she wants coffee is hilarious... and of course the barmaid is Maggie! LMAO!! Great sleuthing work Dante and Sam.
Okay... what's up with these anti-climatic reveals as of lately? First off, not sure why Trina would run off to Aunt Stella in the middle of the wedding, but whatever... I'll go along with it. Although Aunt Stella said enough to cast doubt, why would she make such a weird entrance with so little information? That's so not like Trina at all. It would have made more sense to have Aunt Stella expose Portia at the wedding, or if Portia did it herself. If they wanted Trina to do it, they should have built upon that prior to the wedding so that this could make more sense. Not liking the writing around this either.
I'm also not digging the direction they're going with the Esme storyline. I still have hopes for it, but Esme going on the run with Heather and Ryan does not interest me. I hope someone stops them.
Best part of today's episode was all of Ava's lines.
Totally agree about Nina. She was taking credit for the Metro Court's success virtually on day one. Back then, it was all about "MY hotel." And now it is all about "MY daughter," "MY granddaughter." She's awful.

DeleteI agree, not liking the Esme, Ryan and Heather road trip idea. The Esme character has a lot of potential, but they are trying to ruin it. I still would like Esme and Cam to become a couple, maybe somehow he will stumble across these 3 and be brought along or rescue Esme. That would be interesting to me.

She’s a good lil actress I don’t think she’s faking , let’s see if the nanny going to help Dante and Sam , and Nina hating on Drew she’s so twisted , he’s always cordial to her never did anything to her except not hate Carly , she needs to get over herself already , so happy for Curtis dad he made it through , don’t think he’s schizophrenic

Delete@Michelle... I agree. I don't think Esme is lying, and the actress who plays her is ridiculously talented. I have high hopes that they are writing her a path to redemption with this amnesia storyline. I can even see Spencer and Trina being the ones to help her... maybe even Cam, now that he's sort of left out on his own. I just fear if Ryan and Heather successfully break her out that everyone is going to go back to thinking that she's faking it.

ReplyDeleteSo much laziness and bad writing around some of these storylines that actually had potential. Like the wedding, we needed better dialogue and more zazz for it, that's when something dramatic should have gone down. A real let-down. And @QueenT was right about needing more of a leadup to Trina's role. That went down weird. I like Trina, but for someone who had no idea what was going on, that dramatic entrance didn't make sense. LOL, I would have liked it if it was justified!
ReplyDeleteAnd really, of all the places for Sam and Dante to walk into, then of all the people to run into first, it's the nanny right off the bat?!? Come on GH, I want to be impressed with these characters. Sam and Dante writing is lazy, and I can't get on board. I know we're supposed to suspend belief, but that's too much. And Sam was so repetitive I'm shocked Dante stayed in that room as long as he did, I would left immediately, lol. And the only other person Sam talked to also just happened to have all the info they needed? Especially after her rigorous and unsuccessful Google search for teachers in the area? Golly... Just not impressed with those two together.
And Ava was a joy today, lol. Chugging the champagne, delivering the one-liners, that's my Ava!

@justLauGH... yes a ton of crazy coincidences. I know soap writers are under a ton of pressure and have to turn those scripts over fast, which is why we get so much redundancy and soap logic... but instead of having Dane and Sam take two days to figure out what was obvious from the start... they should have spent more time on the Portia/Trina reveal. I'm not sure why Aunt Stella didn't just tell her the whole truth... I mean she said enough to cause trouble, so why not go all the way? As you said though... there has been some great episodes recently. We lose some and win some.
DeleteIt would be nice if two detectives, two WSB agents or whatever combo, that decided to go off on a field trip searching for clues, that maybe they should send either two men together or two women together. Maybe they will discover something a lot quicker that way, instead of a man and woman, mixing in romance. If they want the romance, at least have the couple not look so clueless sometimes.
DeleteThis is the worse writer, I have been watching GH since 1978 and lately, I feel that I am watching a cheap play. Portia sound really dingy as though she's on drugs or just immature for a doctor. Carly keeps getting away with anything and Nina who's child/children have been stolen from her is the bad person. Carly stole her rich life and Nina's life was stolen from her so Nina has all rights to rebel.
