ReplyDeleteSonnys got alot of nerve yelling at Carly after what Nina put his entire family through. From my understanding even if Willow knew about Nina it would not of changed the Bone Marrow transplant until after the baby was viable.
ReplyDeleteSonny going off on Carly is unforgivable. He’s getting to be just like Nina, and whining like it’s all about revenge because he was the greatest husband. Does he really believe he’s so hot, all the women are fighting over him. He is such a loser anymore. Did he forget that Nina kidnapped Avery when she was first born? Well, the fans sure haven’t. They really need to retire his character, or someone needs to take him and his stuttering shouting ass down.
DeleteNothing Nina has done or Sonny, for that matter, justifies Carly's lie of omission and all the manipulation involved in keeping it secret. This is whataboutism and it's what fans do when their faves do something morally questionable.
DeleteNina keeping Sonny's whereabouts a secret has no bearing on Willow desperately needing a match. It didn't cause her leukemia or affect her prognosis or treatment.
Whereas Carly's lies could have. Big difference. What if Willow's health plummeted, Carly stayed quiet because she didn't know, no one ever discovered Nina was a match.... it means Willow could have died because of Carly's lie. Willow had a right to keep her leukemia a secret. Carly had no right to keep the identity of Willow's birth mother a secret. Veteran viewers remember why Carly came to Port Charles in the first place, it was to destroy her birth mother. What if she had never discovered that Bobbie was her mother? I wonder if she's ever thought about that? The fact that she came to destroy Bobbie, seduced her husband, caused all that destruction and yet she and Bobbie became close. Does she ever think she almost deprived someone else of that experience of knowing their mother. Sure, they hate each other now but down the road, they may mend fences.
Carly likes to think she's a protective mama bear but really, she's a terrible mother who willingly exposed her children to extreme danger because she fancied the kind of life being involved with mafia men could offer.
Just because the writers treat Carly like the teacher's pet and have Willow offer such a soft reaction to what Carly did doesn't make it right. And making Drew have an equally weak reaction doesn't change that either.
Sonny, Nina and Carly are all terrible people. I'm not a fan of Willow or Michael either but I understand why Willow hates Nina. But, I also think that Willow pushing for Sonny to reconnect with Michael shows her values are questionable also. Sonny's a mobster and Michael growing close to Sonny again further endangers their son and potentially their baby, assuming it's born.
This storyline is underwhelming. I can't wait for it to be over.
nina is a possessive, obsessive, manipulatinve mother we saw that with sasha when she thought she was her daughter she wanted to control all aspects of sasha life at least carly see her children as individuals who has minds of their own

first when willow found out she was just pregnant did not want to lose yet another baby decided to put off chemotheraphy even if she knew nina was her mother or match willow still would have wanted her child to survive so willow would have put off treatment to ensure her child had a fighting chance of making it pass chemotheraphy
then willow did not want to induce labour becasue she wants to ensure a healthy baby she again wanted to put off treatment

No one ever did a blood test on Nell to really know if she was Nina’s daughter, just the necklace that could have been stolen from Willow. I don’t really believe that Carly wanted Sonny back after she caught him with Nina. Sonny is really no prize, he’s a washed up has been mobster, who thinks he’s hot. Why would Carly want him? If Jason comes back, he is really the one she wanted.

DeleteI just hate how they've continued to drag out Marshall's storyline with questions, it's been redundant for over a year. They're all saying the same things over and over again, and all those actors deserve better, especially with the much better storylines going on around them. It's making them all unlikable. They're all trying to make it a big something, when it's really just simple and could be easily understood/dealt with. Ugh. Same thing happened with Jordan and Curtis's divorce, the incredible redundancy made me dislike everyone involved. Ready to focus on Trina's paternity, that's been a long time coming...
Deletei miss the old Curtis. The guy who could move in and out of just about all the different characters storylines. He was friendly with most of the other characters. Like Drew, early version of Nina, Sam, Finn, Hayden and had an understanding with Sonny. Now relationship Curtis is just annoying.

DeleteSo Michael is upset with his mom, because he thinks her vendetta against Nina, has done harm to his family, because of the secret she kept. Same guy who has this vendetta against Sonny and is secretly working to destroy him, which will harm his family (Kristina, Dante and Sonny's youngest kids). Yeah that makes a lot of sense. Of course he can be mad at Carly, but to act all righteous is another thing. I just hate the way these storylines are written these days. Michael is the same guy who was making moves against Nina, without consulting Willow, when it came to that visitation trial.

ReplyDeleteThat's what's so sad. Honestly, in those shoes, I'd be scrambling to get not just myself tested, but Liesl too, even little James, asap. That would be my only focus in that situation. Everything else later. Time is of the essence! Even a mother is not a guaranteed match. But she has to make everything about her. The last couple weeks of Nina's and Willow's relationship has made this especially brutal to watch. Nina's contributed to Willow's downturn, for sure. I can't hate Carly too much for holding back the information, it's not what I'd do, but like Josselyn, I get it. Nina is toxic. And I miss old Sonny so much. They need to fix him, diagnose him with Stockholm syndrome or something, I can't stand this watery version of him. So much sigh.

Look how many of us here on this site did NOT want Nina to find out she's Willow's mother because we know what a piece of crap she's been to Willow in the past and how we think the future will play out now that she knows. As much as I can't stand Carly, I'm not really going to condemn her for this. At least she came clean when she realized it was a matter of life and death for Willow - even knowing what was going to happen to her relationship with Michael.
