I was thinking the same thing! He took that manila envelope that Esme had in her suitcase, if I remember correctly, the one that she was keeping from Spencer. I thought it seemed odd but nothing about it ever came up again so I didn't know of it was significant for any reason. Hmmmm, maybe it was.
