Nina makes absolutely no sense, and for anyone to sit around and entertain what she's saying without pointing holes in her rationalizations really don't have her back. For her to say that as long as Carly supports Willow's decisions, there'll never be reconciliation is crazy and for Sonny to act like it makes sense makes him a total hypocrite. Willow is an individual with a mind of her own...and the fact that she thinks Carly and Michael are running her like she's some sort of puppeteer only goes to show the lack of respect Nina has for Willow. I hardly ever hear Carly and Willow discussing Nina... at most they might discuss Sonny and it's usually brief. Carly keeps a bulk of her discussions with Willow about the kids, her health, Willow's feelings, Michael... and reminding Willow that she's family. Carly's ongoing support that's free of pressure and doesn't come with demands is what Willow appreciates. Willow doesn't want to be bullied into a relationship and Nina seems to be completely ignorant of that.
ReplyDeleteAnd wow... Now Nina is trying to manipulate Sonny so he doesn't trust Michael just because she's not part of the deal. And honestly, the interaction between Sonny and Nina today really brings back the idea that he might have Stockholm Syndrome. Sonny seems completely devoid of sense and logic when he's with Nina. I honestly don't recall him being like this with any other woman. He's always been open with Carly and would tell her if he thought she was doing or planning something nuts, but with Nina he seems to just go along with whatever she says no matter how asinine it is. I really think their relationship is built on trauma bonding and there's absolutely nothing healthy about it.
Okay... love Ms. Woo's performance. Her blase matter-of-fact way of talking to people is hilarious.
I love Michael and Joss's relationship. They look so much alike too.

Delete@CaliKid, I disagree. We the viewers know that Michael was plotting to take Sonny down and while Sonny didn't know Michael's plans... Sonny knew Michael considered him an enemy and so anything was possible. We the viewers know that Michael changed his mind and called a truce with Sonny because Willow asked him too, and when Michael called the truce he 100% meant it... hence why Joss and Dex are mad at him. Michael is living by the principles that Sonny and Jason raised him with, and that is not the same as what Nina is accusing him of. Michael would not pretend to be close to Sonny to take him down... Michael, as we've seen him do more than once over the years, openly declared war and meant it, and when he wanted truce...he meant it. It was the same with the Avery storyline.
DeleteAnd honestly, it's truly disgusting to watch as Sonny tolerates Nina bad mouthing Michael. I never thought I'd see the day. Michael was in a coma for years because of Sonny's business. He's been kidnapped, watched the crazy woman that his father married kidnap his pregnant mother, where he had to protect them, and then was talked into a cover-up that landed him in jail where he was raped. He's paid more for Sonny's lifestyle than any of Sonny's other kids... and for Sonny to allow a woman to say anything negative about Michael is appalling. I really hope this Stockholm Syndrome because that's the only way I can forgive this gross betrayal of his family.
