I am way behind watching episodes, trying to catch up. OMG I hate the idea of Nelle being Nina's daughter. It should have been Willow, or a totally new character.
I hope so too, I really hope she stole that necklace cause Nina had the other half made for Sasha.
I also really don't want Nina to have a daughter, the character has such a stronger profile without one, when she thought Sasha was her daughter the way she doted on that girl was irritating, the way she is with Charlotte is helicopter mother. Nina would have made a terrible mother. Let this Nina has a daughter nonsense die forever.

What better way to do that, than by giving the daughter to Frank Benson and his wife. I also don't recall Nelle seeing or paying any attention to Nina's necklace. So I don't think she is even aware. Just my thoughts. Could be wrong.

I've always thought Willow would have made the perfect choice and I wonder if that's where they were headed with it when they had Willow and Nina butting heads over Charlotte but then decided to go in a different direction. I'm still not going to entirely rule out that Nelle got hold of that necklace in some nefarious way, but I won't keep my hopes up because it does look like they're going with this story line, regardless of what I want.

At least they're not blood related, so that sort of keeps out the incestuous creepiness factor (much different if raised together).

Nelle is twisted, Carly was a kid herself who had nothing to her name what she was suppose to take you with her and what, someone she is not even related to. Nelle is blaming Carly for the messed up way her father raised her. Why isn't she angry at her father for everything that is wrong in her life. That woman is beyond crazy Carly is not the source of her problems or the misery she endured under her father.
Okay so, in 1995 an at least 5 year old Janelle and Carly had an encounter at Frank's apartment. Carly and Frank have not seen each other for more than 14 years. That would make Nelles birth date around 1990. Nina's baby would have been born in 1992 around the time Kiki was born( product of Silas and Ava affair). Nelle's kidney was supposedly take while she was a minor. That happened in 2011/12. Doing some math, if Nelle was born in 1992 she would have been 18/19(adult) at that time, if 1990 , as presented in the last episode, 21. She spent time in a mental institute after she killed Finance` #1. What if the necklace belonged to someone else at the institute? She is full of cons and of hate.
