ReplyDeleteOk, not going to lie. That interaction between Spencer and Esme' was kind of sweet. I just hate to see them all play into Portia's manipulations.
ReplyDeleteI agree.... I liked the scene with Esme and Spencer. They're like two peas in a pod. It doesn't help that I don't like the like writing for Trina and Spencer. They're creating that old trope of good girl trying to fix "bad boy" but I think majority of viewers are sick of that dynamic. If 90% of a relationship involves you trying to change your partner, the relationship doesn't stand a chance. I also think majority of us loved the chemistry between the old actress who played Trina and Spencer. The current actress is great, but for whatever reason the writers changed a lot of the things that made Trina, Trina. What made Trina special is that she was strong minded, but not necessarily judgmental... this is what allowed her to remain best friends with Joss while creating a bond with Ava even when Joss got upset about it. Old Trina would have been more empathetic toward Esme due to her predicament, while still watching her back because she wasn't a fool. She just seemed more intuitive.
DeleteAll that being said, current Trina's feelings about Spencer and Esme are valid and understandable, but what I'm specifically disappointed about is how they drastically changed her character and spoiled the epic Spencer/Trina relationship we were all hopping to get (at least it's looking that way, but I have my fingers-crossed that they'll fix this).
To be clear, still rooting for Spencer and Trina but it's just not looking good.
I agree about the difference between original Trina and this Trina and the chemistry between original Trina and Spencer and the lack of chemistry between this Trina and Spencer. I've tried not to be too critical of this Trina because she had big shoes to fill and I thought/hoped she would grow into the role, but I'm just not feeling it.
DeleteCan't help but agree, Esme and Spencer feel completely natural (could just be the skill of the two actors, Esme is a seriously good actress), whereas Spencer comes off as choppy and erratic around Trina now. Sigh. Do not like the role Portia is playing in it.

DeleteEsme is so annoying. Then again so is Spencer at times. After the scare with Avery, I definitely didn't see Ava and Austin happening!

DeleteAgreed, the other Trinia just pulled the Spencer/Trinia role together. This Trinia is too bossy & know it all. Spencer is a Cassadine & you cant change bloodlines. Esme was in his wheelhouse then & probably will be again. Portia is playing a very dangerous game with Esme. Sort of like Dex & Joslyn, not going anywhere, He's no Jason! And Carly & Drew, Oh Dear Lord PLEASE!!

ava cannot be single for two minutes the woman will sleep with any man who give her an ounce of attention
so sasha cannot grieve without it being seen as a breakdown, people grieve for years before they reach acceptance, anyone who losses a love one feels that lost for a long time, grief is an adjustment of your emotions but that does not mean sasha cannot have full automony over her life #give sasha her freedom
