Ava walking back her advice about the SEC sounded a lot like "sorry, not sorry."
I know that law enforcement is usually written as idiots, (on soaps) but I hope they come up with an eager beaver Organized Crime Agent who can successfully bootstrap the SEC investigation back to Sonny and his organization. After all , Carly had the big chair for a minute. I want Nina to finally realize just what life with Sonny is.

Hopefully Carly will be able connect the dots. Also...can't wait for Nina to learn that Drew is out there risking his life to save her Aunt Liesl for Willow.

DeleteWhat Nina doesn't seem to understand and I'll repeat it like a broken record is that She knew Willow for years and treated her like crap! Carly has also known Willow for years and treated her like family. Carly earned her relationship with Willow. She welcomed her into her family and gave her something she never had with Harmony. Even if Willow wanted to have a relationship with Nina... Nina would still not have earned the right to be part of the bridal party, she would only have a place as a guest. She just wants the fantasy of having a child, but none of the work that it entails to build trust.
ReplyDeleteI agree 💯. She was AWFUL to Willow from the very first moment they met. And right up to just before she found out that Willow is her daughter. Even though she KNEW Willow was having a difficult pregnancy, she still tormented her, even going so far as to barge into a home she knew she wasn't welcome in, causing Willow to collapse. It wasn't until she found out the truth that she started treating Willow with any kindness and respect. And, even then, it became all about "ownership" - MY daughter, etc. And it has nothing to do with liking Carly or even defending her. I've bitched about Carly for years. But hate her or love her, Carly has been more of a mother to Willow than Nina can ever be.

DeleteThe only scenes I watch with Nina are the ones with Ava...and reason being, is that Ava is not a fake friend. She tells it like it is. And wow...she has a pretty good understanding of Sonny and Carly's relationship. It makes me think that Ava probably even knows that Sonny is a wanderer but his heart really only belongs to Carly... though she wouldn't say that to Nina. I'm pretty sure everyone knows it. I just hope Carly never goes back to him... even though I know she'd still take a bullet for the man. Ava nailed it.
ReplyDeleteYes! I was impressed with Ava's understanding of the two of them--they will always ultimately have each other's backs. But I do hope they stay separated. Carly and Drew are actually growing on me.
DeleteI really hope they don't cheat us with this storyline like they did the Nixon Fall stuff and let Nina get away with this. The reason Nina stays blaming Carly for everything is because she didn't really have to deal with any of the consequences of what she did... she wasn't forced to look inwards, and on top of that she was rewarded with the man she lied to. That's the problem with not paying for your actions... you never learn anything. If she used even a small fraction of the brainpower she puts on Carly toward building a relationship with Willow she might actually be farther along. She treats Willow like a concept/fantasy instead of a human being. If she actually did the work of trying to see things from Willow's point of view, she could better relate to Willow.
