I haven't watched today's episode yet, but I wondered if Nina would be invited. I'm glad she wasn't, but it doesn't matter because she will either come on her own anyway or as Sonny's "plus one." After all, look how surprised she was yesterday to find out that Willow hadn't made her medical records available to her, like she DESERVED them. Such an entitled bitch. Willow and Michael don't owe her a damn thing. She terrorized Willow every chance she got - UNTIL she found out Willow is her biological daughter. Then it was "MY daughter" this, "MY daughter" that. Biology doesn't automatically make someone a parent. 😡

DeleteJill, I'm so very sorry. That must have been so hard on you, as well. 😥 I thought the writers really got it right with how they handled Gregory's ALS news. It was a moving episode all 'round - Willow and Michael, Nina and Val, even Chase and Dante! - but Gregory's bombshell of a story arc really hurt.

ReplyDeleteI can't wait for this Willow/Cancer storyline to be over. There's just too much leaning on it. This whole sibling thing that Willow is trying to push is a stretch. Plenty of siblings get along just fine even if one of them is not talking to their parents. Also, Donna and Avery are going to be more concerned about the cake than Sonny's presence. Those kids are used to their complicated family dynamic and at that age they don't even know to care.
ReplyDeleteI actually want Michael and Sonny to eventually get back to a good place, but it needs to be earned. I want the two of them to do what they're going to do, and for the consequences of that to move them forward. I want to see Michael go ahead with his Dex plan because this is not the first time he's wanted to take Sonny down. I think this experience will help him have a better understanding of himself, and what he's willing to do...and it might even make his relationship with Sonny stronger
I'm glad they're finally treating Diane like a real character by starting this Robert/Diane romance! I know Diane dated Max, but that never felt like a real thing...since they mostly dated off camera. She also seems to be getting more screen time in general. Robert is cool and all, but he also needs to realize that Sonny is not only Diane's client. They are also friends.
LMAO... that escape scene is up there as one of the most ridiculously choreographed action sequences in a soap. Loved seeing Tracy though... can't wait for the rest of this story to unfold. I heard rumors that we might even be seeing Luke soon!

Delete@General Fanatic... Sonny isn't great at admitting when he's wrong... but I hope this will be the exception. I'm not angry at him for falling in love with Nina (even though I can't stand her... and think that Sonny might actually have Stockholm Syndrome)... what pisses me off is how he went about things. The fact that he didn't tell Carly the whole story about Nixon Falls was a recipe for disaster. If he had told her the truth from the start they would have had a fighting chance, and even if things didn't work out no one could blame him. However, given all the years, literal blood, and tears that Carly has given to that relationship (including Morgan)... Sonny could have handled the situation with more respect.

Sonny sided with Nina during the custody and allowed Nina to drag up Michael's past with Claudia... a dangerous woman that Sonny brought into Michael's life as a child making it so that he had to defend his mother and sister. Sonny has repeatedly taken advantage of Michael's love and he needs to learn a lesson. Out of all his kids, Michael has a right to be upset with him... but still, I hope they get their relationship back because I do love their bond. I almost cried when Michael told Joss that for a moment Sonny sounded like his father on the phone.
@ QueenT your absolutely correct, he went about it all wrong , I’ve always agreed with the Stockholm stuff , and micheal also mad cuz sonny went against his own code , he’s dumb (sonny) bringing Nina in the fold and trusting her because she will be the first one to talk , out of everyone sonny has ever been with Carly has been the only one that could handle his life and there was times she couldn’t or it was hard , basically she’s the only one that lasted and she has paid a hell of a price for sticking with him , so he absolutely should have handled things with carly with the utmost respect that she had earned and he didn’t at all and that hurt Michael and joss , Nina will never compare and she knows it
Delete@Michelle, 100%. While I hope Sonny and Michael will repair their relationship... I definitely do not want Carly back with Sonny. At this point, it's downright unhealthy for her to take him back. No one will ever be as committed or loyal to Sonny as Carly, and he must know that deep down. Perhaps he doesn't feel like he deserves it and that's why he's always going to other women who will not stay. It's only a matter of time before they all bounce. A manic episode, an explosion or shooting where a loved one is injured or killed, or just one of Sonny's epic tantrums and these women are gone. Everyone thinks they want the life, but it's no joke and yet Carly has signed up for it over and over again like a person addicted to pain.

Yeah... I was thinking about that, the Chase storyline is completely unrealistic both in the GH world (per your examples) and the real world. Cops actually have one of the best unions, are ridiculously well protected, and rarely punished. At most, they might be asked to transfer precincts if there are a ton of complaints against the cop... but it wouldn't be for one transgression.
