DeleteI like this Emma. I think we were probably all a little confused as to why they didn't bring Original Emma back, but maybe they felt the character needed a little more edge to her than what they thought Original Emma could provide.
ReplyDeleteI totally get needing to do a recast, and this particular storyline has actually shown this actress has potential. I'm all for Emma following her heart and fighting for what she believes in. That's consistent with her original character. But this idea that she went soooooo far astray in college (flunking school, habitual drinking, and multiple arrests???) and became so generally obnoxious is just a bridge too far for me. They need to do some work on this character so I can like her again. She can be a strong, smart young lady without being so self-absorbed and careless towards other people's needs and feelings. I do hope GH gets it right! :)
DeleteI agree. I came of age in the sixties and early seventies and I have really liked seeing the idealism and activism of those days coming out in Emma. I just hope they don't derail it with some stupid crap.
DeleteWhen she just aired on the show in those scenes at Bobbi’s. I thought she was goons turn into a crazy Esme kinda gal and I was all for it but then it switched and I felt meh about the character and actor but yes this last scene with her and Anna was great. Hearing her explain her back story and sore emotions towards quartermeins was enjoyable to watch and more I like her again lol 🤪
DeleteI wonder what their end game is going to be for Lucky. I can't see Jonathan Jackson staying in the role indefinitely, yet they are setting up the character for long term. I hope they don't kill him off; how many kids and grandkids does Laura have to bury or think is dead? Also, I wonder how they're going to explain Kevin's absence. Even though he only appeared sporadically, at some point, they're either going to have to replace him or explain where he went.
ReplyDeleteWhat I'd like to know is how Kristina just randomly found in a parking garage a bag of tools laying around to cut the brake line? Or how she even knew a brake line from a gas line? None of Davis clan other then Sam ever seemed to be the outdoorsy type or get my hands dirty type. Then just blabs it immediately to Lucky. I kind of like the new Emma. Calling Anna on her hypocrisy was rich!!! Picking Tracy up with her legs still crossed was so Tracy. Love her.

I’d be fine with Cody and Molly as friends, but for the love of Pete, bring back TJ!!!!!!!!!!! ☹ We could use more platonic friendships on this show, period. They’re always some of the highlights…I love it when Lucas and Maxie just catch up (Lulu & Maxie used to be fun too), when Chase and Dante have bro time, heck, when Brad and Britt were all catty together in their day, it was WONDERFUL. More friendship building please, and not the toxic kind! Friends are fun.
Dumb Kristina, worst criminal ever, now Lucky knows what you did. Hopefully he shows some spine with her, instead of coddling, since his precious Elizabeth is the one paying the price. I swear, if he blames Ric instead of “poor” Kristina, I’mma lose my mind. The most surprising thing to me was Kristina actually hoping it wasn’t Ava. Not really believable. I don’t think she would have regretted that at all. She’s all over the place. LOVED Molly’s “it’s not like he tried to murder someone” line in front of her sister, LOL. Can’t believe Kristina’s immaturity and psychosis could take Molly’s daughter, SO, and father from her. What a crap sister.
Man, Diane always knows how to make an entrance, LOVED it! So does Ava, as unwelcome as she always is, she really just doesn’t care!!!!!! :’) The epitome of lacking shame… Alexis was being so reasonable with Drew today, much better than he deserves. What is that guy’s obsession with Kai… Want to know his agenda for that kid. Love that it was Monica that shut him down. Excited for tomorrow!
Speaking of Monica, at some point, they're going to have to address the elephant in THAT room. I know there's an overlap and the shows we've been watching were filmed before Leslie Charleson's passing, but they must be close to catching up by now. I know they're planning some big 62nd birthday GH thing and I read that Leslie's presence had been counted on but the article I read was pretty vague about how they were going to handle it other than to say there would be some memorial for her at a later date.

Man, I don't know, at this point, I'm not sure there's anything Kristina can do to make ANYONE write her off. :( She's so unstable, irresponsible, and selfish, but no one calls her on anything, besides Ava and Ric, lol. I was really not happy that Molly went to her, hat in hand, trying to mend that relationship, after what Kristina cost her (Irene and TJ). I would like to think that her Dad would push Molly over the edge, but I don't know. Come on GH, give Molly some spine! :\
