  1. YYYYYYYYyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaasssssssssssssssssssss to Spinelli coming back and possibly getting back together with Maxie--girl, he CRAZY for you, always. They are so good for each other. That "pipe bursting" is a Christmas miracle! Good scheme on their part. Please, let that happen...Maxie deserves to be with somebody good. She has come a LONG way.

Please, don't force a Marshall/Stella, that's just weird!!! Love Aiden being such a pro in the kitchen. That actor is non-stop adorable, can't believe how tall he's become. Love Jake being so in the feels of everyone around him lately. Little Jason-in-training...

    1. Yeah, that Marshall/Stella thing was weird, but I've always wondered if there wasn't more to their relationship than meets the eye.

    4. I like Maxie and Spinelli together.

And as a couple, they are waaaay better than anybody Maxie has been with in recent years. The last time Maxie had anything but a head-scratchingly bad pairing was with Nathan West.

Spinelli has toned down the weirdness lately, so he's a lot more enjoyable. During their first round as a couple, he was at the maximum offbeat level. For me, that personality was only ok in small doses.

I wish they'd get him in on the Anna revenge storyline, though. Or something else.

A situation where he's just totally trying to get Maxie back and has got nothing else going on feels less interesting.

    1. Right? 😂. And I know there's a story behind it, but I can't remember what it is. Anybody?

    2. Found this on Soaps in Depth:

On the Dec. 8, 2021 episode of GH, Martin tried to put on the movie "Christina Comes Home for Christmas" for Laura. Dante and Sam made the kids watch the movie on Thanksgiving too.

Though not a real film, it does have a surprising soap connection GH fans might not be aware of.

"Christina Comes Home For Christmas" is the title of the Dec. 9, 2008 episode of ONE LIFE TO LIVE, the ABC soap Frank Valentini helmed before its cancellation and he moved over to become executive producer of GH. In this special hour, the various characters living in Llanview shared their love for the classic holiday film which is shown every year.

When Martin suggested putting the perennial holiday favorite on, Laura refused to watch it because while she admitted it was a family tradition to watch it each year, it didn’t feel right with them hiding in protective custody. Laura didn’t want to watch a movie about a woman who gets to go home for Christmas when she couldn’t do the same thing herself.

While GH didn’t show any footage from the movie, when the episode of OLTL aired in 2008, the soap’s characters were all shown tuning in to watch, and some scenes from the film were included in the one-hour episode. Two actors, cast as Christina and her husband, were shown dressed in ‘40s period costumes on era-appropriate sets for the black-and-white footage shot especially for the daytime drama.

It is a fun little nod to OLTL and the history that the ABC soaps have all shared together!

  3. Lauras sweet little granddaughter? Thats funny. Open your eyes Laura, Kevins been trying to tell you all but you don't seem to hear it. Cassadine through & through. Ninas now going to manipulate Michael? It just gets more ridiculous by the minute. Spinelli is a welcome face & Spencer is always a treat.

    1. Bwahahahaha, I laughed at that one too. Charlotte has never been sweet. She's no Violet, she's no Aiden, she's no Emma, she is a shark. The closest she even gets to normal is around Jake, which is quite endearing and a relationship there could add some real depth to the character. Those two actually have a LOT in common. They are cute together somehow. But yeah, her wearing Helena's necklace is too perfect! I don't mind watching the growth of another epic villainess--we'll see if she's up to the task!

    2. yeah laura has blinders on regarding her children and now her grandchildren she refuse to see them for who and what they are most especially nicholas and now charlotte, again spencer is the only one who has owned up to his wrongs and crimes

    3. I may be in the minority, but I really did not enjoy the Helena Cassidine character at all. She was written to be like a cartoon character she was so ridiculously evil and silly. I was so happy when Helena was finally dead, and those dumb storylines were gone.

I would hate to have them turning Charlotte into the Helena successor.
I can live with the "threat" of her embracing the Helena legacy -- as long as she doesn't end up as a Helena-replacement-character in the end.

I would be ok with Charlotte turning out to be a conflicted character, like the way they wrote the original Nikolas. He was a "good" guy when he was part of the Four Musketeers and when he was with Emily. But he was far from perfect.

The latest Nikolas incarnation is just back to Helena-level stupidity in terms of how "bad" he is.

This soap opera too often demonizes characters to the point that they aren't even believable in the context of soap world (where you already have an exaggerated sense of what's supposedly "believable" to begin with). Nikolas is the latest example. But there have been others over the years, including AJ.

Characters that are more complex -- and who have redeemable qualities -- are far more interesting!

Like Tracy. She's "bad," but she is not over-the-top, cartoonishly bad. And she's complex, with some good in her. So she's a far more interesting villain than a Helena ever could be.

Please spare Charlotte -- and us -- any repeat of that Dumb & Dumber nonsense that was Helena's behavior.
